Supporting those in need is a priority for the members of Church of the Redeemer, and the Missions Committee coordinates our efforts.

  • Abrahams Tent – in collaboration with New Haven’s Columbus House shelter and other community groups, provide beds and meals for the homeless population
  • Connecticut Food Bank – through weekly food collection, and two major food drives in the spring, Redeemer donates hundreds of pounds of non-perishable goods per year
  • Covenant-to-Care – with the Connecticut Department of Families and Children, Church of the Redeemer works with a social worker to provide for the needs for thirteen families, including Christmas gifts for the 23 children in these families and Thanksgiving and Christmas meals
  • Columbus House – one Sunday each month, a group from Church of the Redeemer volunteers their time to purchase, prepare and serve a meal at the Columbus House soup kitchen. To volunteer, sign up here:
