Church of the Redeemer logo



Members of the Church of the Redeemer have taken the big, bold, and beautiful step of transplanting to other churches. We are now engaged in the process of discerning how we will share our legacy with the community.

Our building continues to be used by over 400 people per week. Our last regular worship service was held on September 2, 2018, and we are currently planning a final service of Thanksgiving and Celebration on April 28th, 2019.

Many of us will be worshipping at Spring Glen Church UCC in Hamden. Some of us will be worshipping at First Presbyterian Church in New Haven. Please join us at these vibrant, faith-filled churches.

Like many other New England churches with rich histories, Church of the Redeemer has both a grand building and an extremely active, although declining, membership. Wanting to focus on mission and community, Church of the Redeemer engaged in the dynamic process of examining the present and imagining the future. Read about our process in these articles from:
